Wow, how time flies when you’re serving the Lord. Month one of the Dominican Republic is in the books. So let’s get to it, what happened?
Here are some of my favorite pictures from the last month!
This is me and my squadmate Peyton with one of our new local friends named Luigi, he’s a really awesome kid and we’ve had the opportunity to spread the love of Jesus with him using our limited vocabulary of Spanish
I have had the opportunity to play drums at youth group with the worship team at the church of one of the pastors we have been working with, it has been so much fun.
Some would say I’m teaching English to these Haitian kids at their school, others would say I was just making a fool of myself trying to pronounce Creole for them.
This is one of our translations named James. He is a super cool dude and I have had the chance to do worship with him and encourage him in his walk with the Lord.
The iconic tram first day of school picture outside of the school where we teach the Haitian kids English and hang out with them.
Here is a picture from the inside of the school. In this picture we are observing their teachers teaching them French and being “model students” but obviously I was not doing a great job of that to get this picture for y’all.
This is my squad and our translators on the streets of Santiago walking to a nearby community with one of our local pastors to do evangelism and continue to build relationships with the locals in order to spread the good news.
Another one of my favorite local kids. I don’t know how to spell her name but she is super cool and it’s been awesome to hang out with her and let her play with my hair.
I hope y’all enjoyed this random picture I found and decided to add in of me holding a giant palm branch that almost whacked me in the head. Anyways, thank you to everyone who has supported me both spiritually and financially on my journey so far. I have been beyond blessed by the Lord and I’m beyond excited to continue working with Mission Of Hope here in the Dominican Republic. Thank you all for the prayers and words of encouragement that I have received , they all really mean a lot and keep me encouraged in this journey! Gras ak kè poze nan men Bondye, papa nou, ak Jezikri, Seyè a. Galatyen 1:3 (Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, Galatians 1:3)
As promised, here’s a picture of a monkey on top of my head.
